 Day 1

Definition of learning 



 I believe that learning is the process of having the ability to use information when necessary and being able to reach a conclusion and produce a solution based on that information. 




Day 2



The mission of Hisar School: Discovering and developing our true potential through critical thinking, effective collaboration and meaningful contributions as world citizens. 

  • I agree that Hisar staff are committed to empowering ourselves and others in order to make a positive impact on the world around us.

Day 3 

 

"Kids are loved at home coming school to learn, kids are not loved at home coming to school to be loved." 






Three things Ms Friendly needs to make change on are:


1-Differentiation                                          

2-Learning targets

3-Taking Individual needs into account


Evidences:

1. To address the need for differentiation Ms Friendly should prioritize understanding the unique skills, interests, and preferred learning methods of each student in her classroom. By doing so, she can tailor her lesson plans and activities to ensure that they align with the learning goals and meet the individual needs of her students.

Ms Friendly should actively seek professional development opportunities such as workshops, seminars, and video courses to gain inspiration on how to differentiate lesson plans, learning goals and teaching aspects.

Also since she has very nice relationships between her colleges observing other teachers can be helpful. Evaluating her lesson plans, having some follow-up observations and giving regular feedback also some other ideas to collect some evidence on differentiation.

2. To enhance student learning, Ms Friendly can utilize different classroom spaces and resources such as interactive boards and posters that display essential questions.  

3. To be able to take individual needs into account while making lesson plans, it is important to consider them when creating lesson plans. By doing so, Ms Friendly can ensure that her teaching methods allow a more personalized and inclusive learning experience which will provide not only fun science experiment lessons but also well-designed lessons which make a change in students. 


Day 4 

Thoughts About Enduring Understanding: 

I believe that doing things in multiple ways is important to provide inclusivity, promote equal opportunities, and foster enduring understanding. When everyone discovers something meaningful during a lesson and has the opportunity to reflect using their preferred methods, it prompts learning that can be applied, evaluated, improved upon, and adopted.

Some useful AI tools for teachers:  

OpenArt: It creates visuals according to written descriptions. 

Designrr: It creates your content into ebook, flipbooks, blog contents, etc.

Dall-e: It is an AI system that can create realistic images and art from a description in natural language.

Civitai: An open-source tool powered by artificial intelligence that creates images from written content.

Eduaide.ai: a tool powered by AI that educators can utilize to generate distinctive educational materials.


Day 5

Flex and Constricted Learning Goal Examples: 


  • Students are able to understand how and why people should take care of their bodies. 
  • Students can categorize foods into groups based on protein, vitamins, carbohydrates, minerals, and fats. 
Day 6

Differentiation strategies: flexible deadlines, extensional activities, assessing prior knowledge, applicable knowledge transfer options.

Why teachers do not like to grade students? 
  • fairness concerns
  • time management
  • too many things to create
  • students' fear of failure
  • difficulties of explaining to parents

Reflection

  Day 1 After I heard about some other definitions of learning, I focused on mine and started to explore different aspects of learning. I believe that l earning involves not just acquiring knowledge, but also comprehending and remembering it and with our conversations, I ended up thinking learning follows a change in the individual's skills, behaviour and personality.  Day 2 Today we worked on our educational beliefs as teachers and I discovered that   I align with the self-actualizer and social reconstructionist perspectives  based on my choices.  It wasn't very surprising to me  since I really do focus on helping my students to reach their full potential and also I try to include ecological concerns and responsibilities in my lessons. However, there was a huge gap between my other scores in technology and cognitive processing. Daily Action- Improvement Goal

 Day 1 We aim to do our large group times a maximum of 20 minutes and explore more in small groups but with distractions,  and lots of interruptions since our students are still developing their focusing skills these times sometimes go longer. After we talked about 'the rule of 7' it made me rethink the significance of breaks, reminders, and summaries, highlighting their crucial role in our educational approach. This strategic emphasis creates a more effective learning environment for our students' age group while also meeting their changing demands and improving engagement and participation. Day 2 In our curriculum and plans, we have outlined specific learning goals, achievements, and aims. However, during the lesson itself, I realize that while I do inform my preschoolers about what they will be learning today, I often skip to explain why it is important for them to acquire this knowledge.
